The reason I chose department of Electronic-Engineering, and Ueno Laboratory

I am interested in mechanics, and I thought that I want to make machines by myself someday. Moreover, I wanted to learn about software for operation the machine too. Thus, I thought that I want to study engineering widely, and I chose the department of Electronic Engineering that has software and hardware study fields.

The reason for choice Ueno laboratory is that Ueno laboratory has been researching about ultrafast optical processing on UEC original methods. I heard about optical logic from prof. Ueno. If we use light in signal processing, the process becomes faster. To make signal processing high-speed, it is important research and demanded. I thought that this research field is useful in near future. Thus, I chose this laboratory.

Favorite technology, Specialized subject, Training experience and so on

My favorite subjects are physics of condensed matters and semiconductor device in the university lectures. Another fields are natural science and science history. I am interested in quantum theory too, especially electron action and the structure of matters.
Since I am good at making thing and assemblage, I had assembled small kit robot. Then, I learned structures of the robat parts: a speaker, sonar, optical censor, and so on. I knew the histry of robot, current research, and technology in factory.

What I want to research in Ueno laboratory

I want to research about all-optical logic gate. The signal processing using optical signal can be high-speed process. Today's information society needs hgih-speed proseccing, thus I thought that this research field become necessary.

I had taken some lectures about optics, however I am going to study the basis of research field, because my knowledge is still shortage. Moreover, I am going to useful research for ultrafast all-optical processing.

The schedule after graduation

I am considering to go to a graduate school. In undergraduate school, I took many lecture and get a broad knowledge, and in a graduate school, I will use my learned knowlegde, I would like to study specially the field which got interested.
